Guard shot five times

Simon Mahlangu, a security guard who was shot five times, was found in his vehicle near Tonk Meter Way, Selcourt last Friday.

His body was found by a colleague who went looking for him after their control room couldn’t get hold of Mahlangu after 10pm.

SAPS spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the vehicle was tracked on a gravel road.

“It is alleged Mahlangu was approached by a suspect he had previously arrested for a business robbery in Selcourt,” says Ramphora.
