Springs golf courses host Monthly Medal

The Monthly Medal tournament took place at both the Springs Country Club and at the Pollak Park Golf Course on Saturday.

Thirty-nine players took part in the monthly medal at the Country Club.

In division A, Delano Kotze won with a total of 70 points while José Carrazon scored 71 on count out.

Nols Viljoen earned 67 points in division B and Jan Els came in second place with 71 points.

The division C winner was Jorsie Hira with 69 points on count out and Piet de Wet was the runner-up.

Nearest to pin was awarded to Piet de Wet on hole eight and José Carrazon on hole 12.

At Pollak Park, Kobie Grobler came first in division A, while Koos du Toit was the winner with 74 nett points.

In division B, Hennie Blaauw came first with three under par.

The winner was Brad Palmer with 65 nett points.

Johan van Heerden came first in division C, with one under par and Johan Beytell was the winner with 72 nett points.

During the afternoon Alan Naude won division A, Mike Harris was the victor in division B, and Malcom Foster finished ahead of the pack in division C.
