Bakerton business owner in critical condition after being stabbed

A Bakerton businessman is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the chest during a business robbery in First Avenue.

He was alone in the shop when two unknown men entered.

Amanda Greybe, Springs police spokesperson, says the two suspects were armed with knives and one of them stabbed the owner of the shop in his chest.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and airtime and fled the scene on foot.

Family members of the man (age unknown) found him on the floor of the shop.

They rushed him off to a nearby hospital where he was admitted.

“He is in a critical condition,” says Greybe.

No arrests have been made but she urges the community to assist the police in finding the perpetrators.
