An old asbestos pipe burst during the early morning hours last Wednesday sending litres of clean drinking water down Cricket Avenue.
The leak occurred in a nearby open field in ward 74 where workers are in the process of rerouting water pipes in order for a factory to be built on the land.

Workers from the contracted plumbing company working on the pipes noticed the leak and immediately set out to replace the damaged pipe.
It is unclear how many litres of water was wasted but the pipe was fixed by noon on the same day.
