Ekurhuleni Metro Police K9 Unit members on July 23 at around 7am cornered a male suspect in Springs who has been on the run since July 18 wanted for abduction, rape and attempted murder he committed in Secunda.
Armed with a photo of the easily identifiable suspect because of tattoos all over his torso, the metro police arrested the 21yr old male suspect at his home after failing to locate him at his place of employment.
According EMPD spokesman chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, the tattooed suspect is alleged to have kidnapped a pregnant woman in Secunda who she repeatedly raped and brutally assaulted before dumping her on Ermelo road in Springs.
“The suspect has been placed under custody of the Springs police while awaiting transportation to Secunda Police Station to face charges of abduction, rape and attempted murder,” says Sup Kgasago
No comment was received from the police.
