SAPS detectives’ operation leads to 10 arrests

Through a tracing of suspects operation conducted by the Springs police detectives unit, they arrested 10 suspects on Thursday.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, police spokesman, says six suspects, were arrested for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Two suspects were arrested for theft and two wanted suspects were also traced and successfully apprehended for fraud.

The ages of the suspects are unknown.

“We will continue to proactively and re-actively address crime effectively in Springs and its surrounding area,” says Ramphora.

The police appeal to the community to work with the SAPS in reducing crime by providing information that will lead to the arrest of suspects.
