Cupcake treat for senior citizens

Springs' very own Miss Petite Africa 2016, Evangeline Janse van Rensburg (8) spent Women's Day at Springs Retirement Village (SRV).

She was crowned as the new Miss Petite Africa in June and has since been an active charity worker.

SRV employee Naomi Els (30) organised the visit to make the senior citizens feel special on Women’s Day.

However, every resident received a cupcake from Evangeline and appreciated the hugs they received from her.

With the help of Miss Queen of the World Simone du Toit (20) these two Pageant SA title holders had so much fun bringing pure joy to all staff and the elderly.

Els says both Simone and Evangeline have a passion for charity work especially for senior citizens and disabled children.

“Her love for doing her charity work shows each time she takes to the street,” says Yolanda Janse van Rensburg, her mother.

Evangeline’s mother says she also recently spent time at Glenview Hospital in Benoni where she also handed out cupcakes to the staff and the beautiful women who are currently hospitalised.
