It was a small but enjoyable Hawaiian-themed Women’s Day event recently held at the Full Gospel Church in Bakerton.
Jean Chetty, one of the organisers of the event, says it was the first event of its kind for the church, but they are considering making it an annual event.
“The small group of women each received a message from all the speakers, even from the artist Patrice Lagesse.
“We are God’s masterpieces,” she says.
One of the speakers, Jenny Naidoo (47), told the guests they shouldn’t focus on what they lack, but rather on the future.
“Focus on the beauty that’s inside of you and start small. You don’t need to change the world, start at home,” she says.
Naidoo claims she is living proof of how God changed her life.
One of the guests, Bernice Ntoula (43), says she enjoyed the morning and feels blessed.
Most of the women received massages, nail and hair treatments, and all had a wonderful time together.
Chetty and her fellow organisers made sure that the women also enjoyed a scrumptious meal and tea and cake.
