Open hearts for needy children

Impala Platinum Springs recently visited Dr WK du Plessis School as part of their outreach programme.

Learners in need each received a huge parcel filled with groceries.

The bags were fully packed and too heavy for the smaller children to carry, therefore older pupils and teachers had to lend a helping hand.

Project leader Jacques Botha and his team, who represented the friendly care team of Impala, opened up their hearts to the underprivileged children.

The principal, Cobus van Eeden, says “Impala’s support and involvement is greatly appreciated.”

“Some families are dependent on the school’s feeding scheme and the grocery contribution is greatly welcomed and will make a huge difference in the lives of these families,” he says.

Geduld businessman Richard Esterhuizen treated each learner and staff member to a delicious vetkoek.

“We would like to thank Richard and his team for their continued support of the school,” adds van Eeden.
