Two robbers rob senior citizen in her home

The woman's domestic worker put up a fight and managed to escape, screaming for help.

Two suspects surprised a 74-year-old woman at her house in Dandazi Road, Selcourt on Friday.

She returned from the shops at 13.45pm and after she parked her vehicle and got out, one of the suspects pushed her from behind and ordered her to enter the house.

According to Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora the second suspect entered the house from the back where he forced the domestic worker into the house.

However, the domestic worker put up a fight and managed to escape, says Ramphora.

She ran into the street and screamed for help.

The two suspects managed to escape with a TV and R100 in cash and fled the scene in a Toyota Corolla.

The police are investigating the case.
