Evangeline is Laerskool Selection Park’s very own Miss Petite Africa

Evangeline is a proud learner of Laerskool Selection Park and is currently completing her grade two.

“She has had a love for modelling since the age of three,” says Evangeline’s mother, Yolanda.

“She has been working her way through wins and losses gracefully over the past few years.”

Yolanda says Evangeline has won numerous pageant titles over the last few years.

“She has won titles such as: Miss Pageant SA 2015, Best Model 2015, the SA Modelling Championships and many more,” adds Yolanda.

“Winning the title of Miss Petite Africa has been the highlight of her career.”

Yolanda says all Evangeline’s titles are a result of her hard work and determination which is what has brought her such sterling rewards.

She adds that Evangeline has a love for people and helping others.

“Whether it is children or animals, she dedicates all her time to finding new ways to help others and she always does it with the biggest smile on her face.”

Some of Evangeline’s charity work ranges from collecting clothes for children in Congo; helping the SPCA; and collecting warm clothes for less fortunate children at her school.

“She also helps fellow title-holders with charities,” says Yolanda.

“She helps collect bottle-tops to go towards a fund that will aid needy children to receive wheelchairs, and also to provide school shoes for those who need them.”

Yolanda says Evangeline has learnt qualities such self-respect and respect for others.

“Evangeline understands that modelling is not just about the prettiness but about understanding core values,” she adds.

“Thanks to her modelling school she has been able to learn that you can use your beauty for a purpose.”

Yolanda and Evangeline wish to thank Pageants SA as well as the rest of the family for their support and guidance.

“They have guided her and stood by her through each and every obstacle,” she says.

“Without her support system she would not have been able to be the star she is today.”

“Evangeline could never do what she does without that solid foundation.”
