Suspects disturb Bible study group

A Bible study group was disturbed when three armed suspects entered a house in Bendico Street, Selcourt on Thursday.

According to Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, a couple hosted the bible study group in their home.

“They left the front door and security gate open as they were waiting for more people to arrive,” he says.

The suspects were wearing scarves around their faces and gloves.

Four cellphones and three handbags containing cash were allegedly taken from the house.

Ramphora says the value of the stolen goods has not been determined yet.

A case of house robbery was opened at the Springs Police Station.

“We would like the community to assist us in tracking down these culprits,” says Ramphora.
