Domestic worker’s scream warns man of break-in

Three robbers forced entry into a house in President Ranch on Friday.

A 45-year-old man was asleep at 3am, when he heard his domestic worker screaming from another room in the house.

The man was on the verge of moving and all his household equipment was packed in boxes ready for collection.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says when the man went to investigate, he came across three men, one armed with a gun, who ordered him not to look at them.

The trio pushed him back into his bedroom and ordered him to lie down on his bed.

The robbers took R23 000 in cash, four TVs and two cellphones and ran away.

A house robbery case was opened at the police station.
