N17 appeals to the public for water

The Netcare N17 Hospital appeals to the public to participate in its 'Drink 1 Donate 1' initiative during the current heat wave.

As more and more taps run dry around the country due to the effects of the current devastating drought, the N17 Hospital would like to ask the people in the community to participate in the ‘Drink 1 Donate 1’ project by donating bottles of water.

Netcare started a drive to collect water for drought-stricken areas as there is once again a heat wave and there are many areas that are still in need of water.

The hospital is appealing to the public to donate bottled water, anything from one-litre bottles and upwards, in order to do its bit to help the drought-stricken areas.

Donations can be dropped off at the Netcare N17 hospital.

There will be a box situated in the reception area for locals to drop off the water. If anyone has large quantities of water they would like to donate, then the hospital will make arrangements to collect.

The hospital is not sure yet how long this initiative will be running for, but it will be for the next few weeks.
