Woman walks in on robbers

When a woman returned from the CBD on Friday, she was shocked to discover two suspects loading her TV into a green double cab in King Avenue, Springs Extension.

When she entered the house at 1.10pm, she noticed two of the doors had been forced open.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the woman asked the two suspects what was going on.

Without replying, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman and ordered her to lie down on her bed.

Ramphora says the suspects left the woman in the room and continued to break down the rest of the doors that were locked in the house.

After a while, the woman realised it was quiet in the house so she got up and went to the neighbour’s house to report the incident.

The suspects took three Plasma TVs, a sound system, laptop, computer box and screen, three cellphones and R1 200 in cash.

A case of house robbery was opened at the police station.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.
