This is a question I have been asking myself for the past 10 years.
Finally I have an answer (to some extent) – she is now a cadet at the Springs Advertiser.
I have always had a curious mind, but a very confused one as well.
This is why I am here, to indulge my curiosity and lessen the confusion.
Journalism has become a recent passion but writing has been one my entire life.
I expect to learn, not only about journalism but about independence, surviving in the real world and how to create withstanding relationships with clients, family and friends.
I hope journalism teaches me to view the world in a way I have not viewed it before.
I expect hardships, many of them because I am bound to make mistakes.
However, I hope my willpower is strong enough to overcome them.
I hope to learn how to be less difficult on myself, less emotional (control those tears) and not to take everything to heart.
I want to learn how to impact the world.
Even if it is the smallest of acts.
Most of all I hope to gain experience and humility.
I want to be able to grow and become a strong and motivated individual.
I hope to truly enjoy my job and if not, have the courage to start again, finding something that I will enjoy.
I want to learn how to spread positivism more effectively and I would like to do this at a magazine.
