Far East Christmas babies

The staff of Far East Rand Hospital had a pleasant Christmas Day as they saw many mothers stream in to deliver their Christmas babies.

A total of 15 babies were born on December 25 at the hospital.

  • Ntombizodwa Simelane delivered a baby boy at 00.15am, weighing 3.1kg.
  • Anelia Tanele gave birth to her baby boy at 00.40am weighing 1.5kg.
  • Sibongile Dlamini delivered her baby boy at 01.25am weighing 3.8kg.
  • Patience Khumalo gave birth to a baby girl at 02.00am weighing 2.9kg.
  • Sithembile Myeni delivered a baby boy at 02.10am, weighing 2.9kg.
  • Elsie Masango gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl at about 03.55am, boy weighed 1.4kg while girl weighed 1.6kg.
  • Olavia Nevis delivered her baby girl at 03.10am, weighing 3.7kg.
  • Jabulile Shabangu gave birth to boy at 05.50am, weighing 2.8kg.
  • Tsotang Moloisane delivered her baby boy at 07.50am weighing 3.7kg.
  • Mpho Matsoetlane gave birth to her baby boy at 04.25am weighing 4.1kg.
  • Precious Nkosi delivered a baby girl at 11:10am weighing 3kg.
  • Sibonelo Makhanya gave birth to a baby girl at 13.20pm weighing 3.2kg.
  • Gift Mahlangu delivered a baby boy at 13.20pm weighing 3kg.
  • Nomazulu Ngwenya gave birth to a baby boy at 15.50pm weighing 2.3kg.

The mothers shared their excitement about delivering their Christmas gifts on such a special day.
