Cemetery caught ablaze

A fire broke out at the Geduld cemetery on Christmas morning.
The CEO of a local security company, Tony Cruz, says he drove past the cemetery in Geduld at approximately 10am on Christmas morning and saw the blaze.
Tony stopped and noticed a people standing around watching the flames surround buildings on the premises.
Tony adds: “I believe it could be homeless people who may have accidentally set their sleeping material on fire.”
The fire department arrived just after 10am and extinguished the blaze.
“The cemetery was almost destroyed,” says Tony.
Emergency services were not available for comment at the time of going to print.
