Robbers assault woman with brick

A suspect hit a woman with a brick during a house robbery in Kigali Street, Slovo Park on Tuesday.

The woman and her husband left the shack door unlocked and two suspects entered at 8.45pm.

One of them was armed with a firearm and pointed it at the victims.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says the suspects shouted “where is the money”.

The woman screamed for help and was hit with a brick on the shoulder by one of her attackers.

Rampohora says a neighbour was watching what was going on through her shack door.

The armed man pointed his gun at her and ordered her to go back inside and close the shack door.

The suspects took two cellphones and left the scene.

A case of house robbery was opened at the police station.
