Fun at Boss’ Day

The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI) celebrated Boss’ Day at Little Paradise on Friday, October 16, with fun and laughter from Life in Motion’s Anjana Lala.

The bosses were seen laughing, clapping their hands and enjoying the laughing exercises.

Anjana says everyone is born with a natural way of laughter and that laughter coaching is a powerful, positive and interactive team building exercise where participants de-stress and connect with one another.

She explained that every dull and heavily stressful day can be turned into a happy moment with fun and laughter. One of the exercises, the laughter finger, involves having an imaginary face on the index finger. Smiley face fingers greeted each other much to the enjoyment of all the guests.

“These activities can be carried over from work into the home,” Anjana says.

Anita Greeff, general manager of EGCCI, says the celebrations were entertaining and that everyone was taken by surprise at first, but soon the room was filled with laughter as inhibitions flew out of the window.

Izak Sander, from Bevcan, described the laughing exercises as wacky whilst Isayvani Lungooniah, who was called to the stage to assist Anjana with the angry pointing finger exercise, had a lot of fun.

It was also great fun for Andries Joubert, Netcare N17 Hospital manager, and his staff who attended the event.
