Eben new singles champion
Eben Maré beat long time champion Daniel Myeni 1-6, 7-6 and 8-6 in a nail biting three and a half hour match during the Selection Park Tennis Club’s men’s singles championships on Sunday (September 13).

All the other matches were short and easily won.
Kyla Yelverton retained her women’s singles title beating Sandra Kock 6-2 and 6-1.
Eben Maré and Rynhardt Knoetze won the men’s doubles titles by beating Ferdie Robbertse and Pieter Stoltz 6-1 and 6-4.
The women’s doubles title was won by Kyla Yelverton and Gillian Perreira who beat Sandra Kock and Colleen Fawcett 6-1 and 6-0.
In the mixed doubles Rynhardt Knoetze and Kyla Yelverton beat Gillian Perreira and Pieter Stoltz 6-4 and 6-2.
Logan Stoltz won the men’s plate singles with 38 out of a possible 39 points.
