Golf club appreciates public’s support

Golfers from far and wide took part in several events at the Pollak Park Golf Club over the weekend.

The results are as follows:

Friday Meat Competition (IPS)

Front Nine was won by Frikkie Mynhardt with 16 points followed by Ian Stewart with 14 points.

Phil Anderson came in third place with 13 points on count out (oco)

James de Nysschen Senior was the winner of the Back Nine with 18 points followed by his son James de Nysschen Junior with 17 points oco.

Ian Stewart was third with 17 points oco.

The Super Saturday Betterball Stableford was won by Hein Snyman and Sandy Winn with 49 points.

Brad Palmer and Darren Langley took second place with 48 points oco, followed by Adrian Lavelle and Albert Kukard with 48 points oco.

Super Saturday is the club’s annual fund-raising event, where the club generates much-needed funds from the contribution of members and their guests.

Darren Plumb, the club’s operations director, says management is grateful to all who contribute on the day.

“The Springs community always supports the club generously and we appreciate their support,” he says.

The monthly Gingers Golf Day also took place on Saturday.

The winner is Rob Bryans with 41 points oco and Andre Eelders in second place with 41 points oco.

Conner Myberg was third with 41 points oco.
