We only read about Dean Stone and Ramesh Sheodin, who are the only people who seem to care about the people who voted them in.
I don’t even know who the ward councillor for my area is.
We read in the papers that ward councillors have demanded the same salary as members of parliament.
This is all very well, but just what do local councillors do to earn their salaries at present.
When and if they can prove that they are worthy of an increase then give it to them, until then, no increase.
Since when are taxis allowed to park on the grass in Oppenheimer Circle, Selection Park?
Several complaints have been made about this but the metro police take no notice.
I do realise it is quite cold at the moment and that it is very pleasant to sleep in their cars in the sun.
Just for a change they should uphold the law.
Perhaps they could also try to catch all the drivers who don’t obey stop signs and traffic lights.
