He appeared briefly in the Springs Regional Court on Monday and the case was postponed to Monday (July 13).
A security guard on duty was patrolling the premises at 4.30am, when he noticed an open window and heard footsteps inside.
He immediately contacted police.
Springs SAPS spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says when police arrived, they found another security guard inside the building.
Police checked his information with the security company where he is employed, and found that he was off duty.
The man was charged with business robbery.
