Paramedics declare man dead on scene
The EMPD responded to an accident in Krugersrus at 3.53am, this morning (June 20), in which a man was killed.
Officers Louis Els and Louwtjie du Toit arrived on the scene in Hospital Road shortly after the accident, and found an overturned black VW Golf.
The driver of the vehicle and two passengers sustained slight injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment by Maphonya Ambulance Services.
The third passenger, however, was trapped inside the vehicle.
Ekurhuleni Emergency Services (EMS) used the Jaws of Life to extricate the man.
He was declared dead on the scene by EMS paramedics.
Els says the accident scene was cleared by 7.30am.
