Rats are no problem for Chamber
Who needs rat catching programmes or poisons to get rid of rodents if you have a cat?
Chamber, the nine-year-old black and white moggy that lives on the premises of the Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI) is doing his bit to assist the Ekurhuleni Metro in ridding the Springs CBD of rats.
He obviously read the article in last week’s Addie, ‘Rats run riot in CBD’, and has been on the look-out for rodents ever since.
A proud Chamber recently caught a rat and refused to release it from his clutches.
He wouldn’t even allow EGCCI general manager Anita Greeff to take it from him.
Chamber proudly showed off his kill, and after being aptly praised for his good work, allowed Anita to throw the rat away.
The cute feline was rescued as a kitten by Anita, who found him in a tree.
