Spa date for FERH staff
Social workers from the Far East Rand Hospital were recently pampered with a spa treatment.
Their head of department Jacobé Botha, who is known for her caring nature and dedication to helping others, decided to spoil and treat the women.
Jacobé and her staff were treated to a spa day at The René Institute of Beauty Therapy in Brakpan, where they received the best care.
Beauty students enrolled at the institute gave the staff their undivided attention in the form of massages, manicures, pedicures and hair treatments.
Director of Be an Angel Network. Annette Smit, was happy to help when she heard the women needed pampering.
She soon contacted René Viljoen, the owner of the institute, who gladly agreed to help.
René and her staff made sure that the women were spoilt with refreshments and a great atmosphere.
“Health workers are always helping others, very often they neglect themselves and forget to pamper themselves, and this is our way of saying thank you,” she said.
Social worker Margret Mashiyane was in heaven when she received her massage and manicure.
“I needed this so much, it’s pure bliss and I wish we could do this more often,” she says.
A pharmacy heard about these women and wasted no time handing out gifts, much to the women’s delight.
Jacobé thanked the sponsors for the wonderful treat.
