The owner was behind the counter and his brother was sitting at the door, when, at about noon, four men entered the shop.
One of the men closed the door and guarded it.
Springs police spokesman Amanda Greybe says two of the men were armed and held the owner at gunpoint.
Two robbers took cigarettes, airtime, cash and three cellphones.
Greybe says they put the stolen goods in a black refuse bag and went to the back of the shop, where they found cash hidden under a mattress.
The four men then opened the door, and left.
