A 41-year-old Skoonplaas informal settlement resident was raped by two men, on Monday (April 6).
Spokesman for the Springs police, Captain Johannes Ramphora, says two suspects gained entry through a door that allegedly wasn’t locked properly.
The woman was reportedly awoken by a light shining in her eyes at about 2am.
It is alleged the suspects covered her mouth and ordered her not to scream, and then both raped her.
Ramphora says the suspects asked the woman for money, but she only had R40.
The threatened to come back and kill her if she reports the incident to police.
