Bikers riding for Easter

The Rotary Club of Springs are having their fourth annual Eggs 4 Easter Run on March 14.

With the neeqd growing every year, it is important to spread a little Easter cheer by distributing some chocolate Easter eggs to the less fortunate.

Rotary member Cheryl Havenga asks bike clubs to take part in the Eggs 4 Easter run, and bring Easter eggs along.

The event is being held in the car park at Pick n Pay Sharon Park.

The Easter Eggs will be distributed to children’s homes and retirement villages, Vita Nova and Epilepsy SA.

“We will also visit the children’s wards at all our local hospitals, over the Easter period, and cheer up the children with a gift of Easter eggs,” she says.

This year’s run promises loads of entertainment, including helicopter rides, a pie eating competition, a cake decorating competition, a jumping castle, music and flea market and craft stalls.

There will be a 5km fun run starting at 9am.

Registration will take place at the event from 8am, at a cost of R10 per entry.

There are still stalls available at a cost of R50.

To book a stall contact Cheryl on 082 458 0566.
