New mall is on track

Major retailers have already secured their space in this new regional mall.

The R850-million Springs Mall at the Blue Crane Eco Park is on track.

The d’Arrigo family, whose brainchild this regional mall is, says in a press release the mall is still scheduled to be opened in late 2016.

Partnering with the d’Arrigo family and joint venture owners of the mall are Flanagan and Gerard Developments, one of South Africa’s leading shopping centre developers and the Giuricich family.

This mall will be rising in the months to come from its space next to the Wit Road off ramp off the N17.

The d’Arrigos say there were minor delays relating to various municipal authority approvals that were beyond the control of the developers.

The family and its partners assured residents that these glitches have now been resolved and that the development of the mall will start soon.

Franco d’Arrigo says besides providing an exceptional shopping destination, Springs Mall will also introduce many economic benefits to the people living here and will provide sustainable jobs after being completed.

Paul Gerard, chief executive of Flanagan and Gerard says Springs Mall is a major investment in Springs and will become a retail asset that serves this region’s customers with a quality shopping experience.

Major retailers have already secured their space in the new mall.

This regional mall will have shops like Woolworths, Edgars, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Truworths, Clicks and Dis-Chem.

There will also be a wide variety of restaurants, shops with electronics, gifting, banking services, décor, health and beauty and national fashion retailers as part of the mall’s tenant mix.
