On Monday (October 6) a woman was at home in Van der Bosch Street when she heard someone calling her from the front gate.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says the woman went to investigate and found a man at the gate enquiring about someone.
When the woman went back to the house she saw the man walking towards a vehicle.
Whilst inside the house she saw five men at her front door.
Ramphora says one of the men was armed and pointed a gun at her.
The robbers kicked the door open and asked the woman if there was anyone else in the house.
They took her to the bathroom where they tied her up.
She waited a few minutes until she heard it was quiet and went to investigate.
Ramphora says the robbers took clothing, car keys and a laptop.
