I recently noticed that the Ekurhuleni Metro was awarded a certificate as the cleanest metro in Gauteng.
This makes one wonder on what basis was the adjudication for this award done, because if one looks at the towns of Brakpan and Springs, this just does not make sense.
One appreciates the fact that the relevant Customer Care Managers are trying to everything possible to keep the towns clean, but it is glaringly obvious that they are not succeeding.
There must be a definite drive in educating the people about the need to keep the environment clean and they must start fining people caught littering.
This will contribute towards a better and cleaner city.
