Bakerton robot finally erected

After months of lying on its side, the robot at Honeysuckle Road, Bakerton, was finally repaired on Monday, July 7.

This robot was knocked down in May due to the riot taking place at the time.

One of the poles of the set of robots was pushed down and torn off.

The matter was reported to the metro at the beginning of May and they reported it would be fixed on May 30, however, the robot wasn’t fixed.

An Addie journalist reported the matter again in June and they responded the pole has been repaired on June 25, however, last Thursday it was still lying flat on the ground.

Ramesh Sheodin, ward councillor, said last week that although the other three poles were standing and working, the fourth one should be fixed.

At 5pm, on Monday, metro workers were seen setting the sequence of the robots after the pole was replaced.

It is finally up and running.
