Radio Rats are back and they are providing solid, old school Rock 'n Roll for your listening pleasure.

First forming the band in 1977 the band basically brought rock to Springs.

The bands is made up of Jonathan Handley (lead guitar and background vocals), Dave Davies on lead vocals and Herbie Parkin on bass, althought there are with various drummers associated with the band, Leonard Dixon is remembered as the group’s drummer during its most famous period,

Their up coming CD, titled with the single Cyanide Lake will be released before Christmas.

The album is set in Springs and every song relates thee bands memories of the town.

Cyanide Lake refers to the old days at Murray Park and how the water was said to have cyanide in it. There is also the song entitled Strubelvale Strut which also describes the band’s fond memories of Springs.

With solid drumming and intense guitar solos, it is easy to see why the band was a pioneer for rock music in the ’80s. The albums bring that classic rock ‘n roll sound back and coupled with the strong and crooning vocals, it is a perfect Christmas present for anyone who grew up in Springs and loves classic rock.
