Geduld Methodist Church encourages acts of kindness

The church's social media is now a hub of information about their acts of kindness. It's also a place where community members can share their own ideas and experiences related to acts of kindness.

The Geduld Methodist Church is celebrating its birthday as it turns 103 years old on November 26.

To commemorate this momentous milestone, Geduld Methodist invites everyone to complete an act of kindness to spread joy within the community.

It has embarked on a mission to complete 103 acts of kindness throughout November, a number symbolising each year of its existence.

These acts of kindness encompass a wide range of initiatives, from helping local charities to participating in community clean-up efforts.

The aim is to extend the church’s legacy of service by making a positive impact on the lives of Springs residents.

Pastor Jonathan Coates of the church, emphasised the importance of community involvement in their celebration.

“Our church has always been a place of love and compassion,” said Coates.

“Springs has grown, changed, and faced its challenges over the past century, and we want to ensure that our church remains a source of positivity and support for all who call this town home.”

As the first Methodist church in Springs, Geduld Methodist Church was established in 1920. This beloved church has served as a beacon of faith, hope, and unity in the community.

As the years have passed, it has not only provided spiritual guidance but has also been a driving force behind numerous charitable initiatives and acts of kindness.
