Robbers target school uniform store in Geduld

Two armed robbers targeted a school uniform shop in Geduld on September 12.

Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala said the cashier was busy inside the shop when two men entered and pretended to buy school uniforms.

While the cashier assisted them, one of the men pointed a firearm at her, demanding money and other valuables.

She handed them the money, valued at R6 000, and a cellphone valued at R10 000.

Tshabalala said the cashier was traumatised and unable to recognise the duo. She was also unsure whether they left the area on foot or in a car.
