Man stabbed over 30 times in Edelweiss
A 19-year-old man was stabbed more than 30 times while walking on Narcissus Road in Edelweiss on Tuesday morning.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed more than 30 times while walking on Narcissus Road in Edelweiss on Tuesday morning.
According to Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, people close by heard the man scream and notified the authorities.
“A security guard from a local security company arrived at the scene, arranged for medical personnel for the injured man, and drove around the area in search of the armed man,” said Tshabalala.
“The armed man was found down the road with the knife he used to stab the victim.”
The injured man was transported to Pholosong Hospital for medical treatment.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Springs Police Station. He faces a charge of attempted murder.
