Dancer and partner earn national colours

The pair danced up a storm as a contemporary duet, but Nicole Potgieter also shined out in solo items.

Nicole Potgieter, from Geduld Extension and her partner Riwan Smal, from Daggafontein, danced in the Dance Motion Nationals competition on August 5 where they received their national colours.

To qualify for this competition they had to participate in the JSD Annual Dance Competition, an equal-opportunity dance competition open to all individuals and dance studios.

The pair received 92% for their contemporary duet at the JSD competition and 88.5% at the Dance Motion Nationals hosted by the International Fine Arts Association.
