WATCH: Springs Art Gallery declares exhibit officially open
New exhibition will run until February.
The Springs Art Gallery officially opened Reckoning, which is a collaborative exhibition with Art Bank South Africa on Saturday.
This group art exhibition featured original works of 40 emerging artists from all over the country.
The artists engaged the art by using conventional and unconventional materials such as painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture and printmaking.

The exhibition, by way of visual art, sought to explore subjects of identity, heritage, and the self.
It was a collective interpretation of a contemporary South Africa plunged into a reckoning around uncomfortable and hard historic truths that many have not gathered the strength to address yet.
The gallery was visited by veteran trumpeter Prince Lengoasa, who played a few pieces from his new album.
The exhibition will run until February 24.
