Springsites clean up Deryck Terblanche Park

Dynamic Signs and Print (DSP) encourages the Springs community to take a stand against littering in the town.

Dynamic Signs and Print (DSP) teamed up with Veritas College and Tac General Engineering to clean up the Deryck Terblanche Park on September 29.
The initiative to clean up the park took place after DSP’s manager, Liesl de Villiers, drove around Springs and felt unhappy when she saw the current state of the town.
“After seeing the mess in my hometown, I felt we needed to come together to make our town a better place,” said Liesl.
“While planning this clean-up, we decided that if time allows, we hope to do it regularly, every third month.”

DSP hopes other local businesses will be encouraged to join them or create their own clean-up campaigns.
“Our goal is to see our town clean and that can be possible with the help of our community and municipality,” says Liesl.
DSP’s Chantel Ferreira said even though they came across unpleasant litter, she enjoyed getting her hands dirty for a good cause.
“I feel it is important for us to keep our public spaces clean. We can’t always depend on our municipality. If we want our children to love their environment, then it starts with us,” says Chantel.
The local printing company thanked Tshipi Noto Funeral Home, Pick n Pay Strubenvale, Veritas College, and Tac General Engineering for their contributions to the success of the clean-up.
