Grass-cutting ongoing across the City

Motorists and pedestrians are cautioned to be on the lookout for officials who are cutting grass on some of the roads and parks in the City.

The City of Ekurhuleni officials are currently cutting overgrown grass that has resulted from the heavy rain experienced in Ekurhuleni in recent weeks.
Grass-cutting is done to avoid sheltering snakes, rats, mice and concealing litter and debris, among others.

Overgrown grass also provides hiding places for criminals. The department responsible for parks in the City has channelled its resources towards grass-cutting to avoid overgrown grass, especially during the festive season when most people would want to enjoy the beauty of public spaces.
