The Pollak Park Golf Club held their centenary Winter Club Championship last weekend.
It was their most successful championships, as 110 players took part in the hopes of being crowned the best of the best. Winner of the centenary edition of the club champs was Evan MacKenzie, with an impressive 145.
Speaking after accepting the trophy, MacKenzie said he had fulfilled an item on his bucket list by winning the club champs. He has won a major competition at the club every decade he had been a member.
“The talking after winning is the most difficult part. The course has grown in stature and its thanks to the staff. I also have to thank the older members of the club who keep golf alive,” said MacKenzie.
