• Satanist found dead in coffin
No foul play is suspected in the death of self-confessed Satanist and former Brakpan resident Lucifer Spook van Zyl.

Van Zyl was found in his Hillbrow flat last Thursday morning – lying in a coffin with a bullet through his chest.

Police believe he lay inside the coffin, pressed a firearm against his chest and pulled the trigger.

He was discovered in the Kaptein Street apartment by a domestic worker at about 11am.

Investigating officer Det WO Johnny Smith told the Advertiser a message was scribbled on a mirror against a wall next to the coffin.

The coffin was standing on the porch of the flat.
