Shihan Imtiaz Abdulla Kaicho honored Springs karatekas with his wealth of knowledge at Pan African Shotokan Karate Federation in Selcourt.

The Pan African Shotokan Karate Federation hosted shihan Imtiaz Abdulla Kaicho to impart wisdom on karatekas.

The aim is to be able to move seamlessly from one move to another. You don’t want to stop and pause. Involve your hips,” said Johannesburg-based Kaicho, who is the executive chairperson of the United World Martial Arts Federation.

Shihan Michael Cindi, who runs the Selcourt-based club, said hosting other masters helps the athletes to perfect more techniques.
“We invite all these masters because the way they teach karate techniques is different,” he said.
The club offers women self-defence classes, children’s classes, Koshiki, karate, Kududo (weapons) and aerobics.
