Two arrested for allegedly selling drugs

The street value of the drugs, which the police believe to be khat, is estimated at R5 000.

Springs SAPS crime-prevention operations yielded good results when they arrested a man in the Springs precinct for dealing in drugs last Thursday evening.
Spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said soon after the first arrest, they intensified their stop-and-search operation and within a short space of time, a second man was arrested in the vicinity for possession of drugs.

Both men were detained at the Springs Police Station.
Springs SAPS station commander Brig Thembeka Gwebushe applauded the members for their enthusiasm in protecting the community and their dedication to squeezing the space in which criminals operate.
She said police will continue to strive to protect and uphold the constitution of the country as is the mandate of the police.
