Eleven firearms were stolen during a robbery at a Geduld store last Sunday morning.
Springs police spokesperson Amanda Greybe said a female security guard was on duty with two of her colleagues when they heard people at the gate.

When the woman went to the gate, she found three men who asked to speak to her supervisor.
After she informed them her supervisor only works during the week, the men asked for a glass of water.
The woman went to get a bottle of water and when she returned the men held her at gunpoint and forced her into the guard house, saying, “You know what we are here for, the firearms.”

The woman told the men only the supervisor has the keys for the locker in which the firearms are kept.
One of the robbers then left and returned shortly afterwards with a bolt cutter.
After cutting the lock, 11 pistols and several rounds of ammunition were taken from the locker.
Two of the guards were tied up with shoelaces and the robbers fled without taking anything else.
