McDonald’s donates food hampers to 50 families
Fifty families from Hollywood informal settlement receive food hampers McDonald's Springs donated food hampers to 50 families from the Hollywood informal settlement last Friday
The hampers contained enough food to feed a family of four for about a week.
Included in the hamper were toiletries and sanitisation equipment.
For the franchise, giving back to the community is nothing new.

Before Mandela Day, the company also donated similar parcels to their staff while the country was under Level 5 lockdown.
“We’re a community business, all of what we do is only made possible through the community’s acceptance of us.
“We’ve always had outreach programmes to assist those less fortunate and participate in various forms of social interaction with the communities, and this is one of them.
“We approached the police and asked them to identify a community where there is a dire need.

“This is not the only donation we’ve done in Springs, we also donated to a church in Kwa-Thema.
“We’ll be doing the same thing in eMalahleni, Northern Cape, and McDonald’s as a whole will be doing this throughout the country,” says owner operator of McDonald’s Springs Peter Moyanga.
