A robber got less than he hoped for after breaking into a Selection Park home last Wednesday.
The man, who gained access to the Airwing Street residence by breaking a window, fled with a mear R80.
Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim, who was at home with her two children, heard the window break and was suddenly confronted by a man who demanded money.

The woman handed over her purse which contained R80.
Not satisfied with the money, the man demanded the woman hand over the gaming console.
While she was disconnecting the console, the man heard a sound coming from another part of the house which spooked him and he fled the scene, leaving the console behind.

The man made his escape through the same window he had broken in order to gain access to the house.
The woman and her two children were unharmed.
