Victims unharmed after Selcourt house robbery

Five people were unharmed during a house robbery in Selcourt last Wednesday.

According to Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora one of the victims was confronted by a gunman while watching TV in the lounge.

Once the gunman found out how many people were in the house and in which rooms they were located, he instructed the victim to lie down and covered him with a carpet.

While on the floor, the victim could hear the voices of other intruders inside the house, but could not see them

When it had quietened down, the victim went to check on his siblings.

A check of the house revealed the robbers had taken a 60 inch TV, two 40 inch TVs, two cellphones, a microwave, a tablet and a laptop.

The value of the stolen items is not known.

The intruders gained entry into the house by shifting the gate from the rail.
